Section 5. Chemical energetics

All of the statements refer to the most recent CIE A level Chemistry syllabus. There are no differences between the 2012, 2013 and 2014 syllabuses.

To avoid copyright problems with CIE, I can't quote the actual syllabus statements. That means that you must have a copy of this syllabus. If you haven't got one, download a copy from CIE from here. If this link doesn't work, please let me know at once from the address on the about this site page.

Most of the statements in this section of the syllabus involve material which is already covered in detail over about 40 pages of my chemistry calculations book. For reasons that I have explained on another page, all I can do in these cases is to refer you to the book.
